Lauren Duski offered another strong reason for America to keep her around on The Voice Monday night (May 8) with a performance of "Tell Me Why" by Wynonna Judd.

Duski switched things up during her Live! Top 10 pick, opting to sing the uptempo number as opposed to her usual ballad. Coach Blake Shelton felt it was important for her to do something energetic, as to give her an opportunity to show a different side of her voice. The young singer revealed that Judd was one of the first artists she ever listened to growing up, and the country star personally called Duski to wish her well while encouraging her to make the song her own, which is exactly what she did.

Decked out in black leather pants and a bejeweled black top, Duski rocked out, backed by a pretty set with sparkling chandeliers. The Michigan-born singer showed off a new facet of her voice with a resemblance to Sheryl Crow, sounding just like a pro country singer. The "Tell Me Why" performance also gave her the opportunity to demonstrate her impressive guitar skills, and she had the audience clapping along, with coach Shelton rising to his feet to applaud.

Gwen Stefani was wowed by Duski, called her a "living country Barbie doll" and adding that it was the perfect song choice. And her coach couldn't have been more thrilled, saying he has full faith in her before paying her the ultimate compliment by calling her "the missing piece in country music right now."

Duski finds out if she makes it to the Top 8 during Tuesday night's (May 9) elimination round. The Voice airs at 8PM ET on NBC.
