Sunday night ended up action packed before the 25 lap outlaw sprint feature was over. In less than a blink of the eye, what was all ready exciting all changed.

Scott Winters in the Buffalo Wild Wings car was leading with Mark Dobmeier closing in. 4/10′s of a second separated the top 2 cars and they were coming up on 2 laps to go.

Then Winters got a little loose in turn 2 and within a split second both he and Dobmeier were laying on their sides. The top 2 cars were done.

Also Lynton Jeffrey was sitting on his tail tank looking up at the stars in the sky from his driver’s seat. He would be done also. The #12 car of Jeffrey had just made a half lap in a huge ball of fire prior to all of this. We learned later from Lynton that it was the result of an oil plug coming out.

Terry McCarl inherited the lead for the restart with 3 laps put back on the counter. He would easily drive thru to victory.

It was the 7 time champion’s 2nd win at Huset’s for 2013. He had set the quick time at the start of the night at 10.695.

Dylan Peterson finished 2nd, Ryan Bickett 3rd, Jordan Martens 4th and Chuck McGillivary 5th.

Jack Dover of Springfield, NE won the 360 sprint feature. It was his 1st ever win at Huset’s. However it was the 2nd time this year that Denny Wasmund’s car visited victory lane at the track. Jody Rosenboom drove it to a win earlier in the season.

Craig Hanisch of Sioux Falls came from the 6th starting position to win his 4th of the season at Huset’s in the street stocks, the most wins in the class this year.

Defending track champion Nick VanBelle of Luverne, MN won the b mods for a 2nd time in 2013 after suffering a blown motor 2 weeks ago. And Zach Olivier in the hobby stocks won for a 2nd straight week and 3rd time this year.
