I hear this statement often "we need to do more for our Veterans". Thankfully there are people out there putting action to these words.

Support Veterans and their families with the he #MyArmy Contest, and possibly get your heroes in a Lady Antebellum video.

From the National Geographic website:

National Geographic wants to know who is in your “army” –your support system. We are producing a music video for Lay Antebellum’s hit song Army, with a chance to give back through music. Submit a photo or video on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram showing the heroes in your life using the #MYARMYCONTEST and tagging @NATGEOChannel between October 10-November 7 for a chance to be featured in the Army music video.

I was just talking with a friend of mine the other day about every day heroes, and how they impact peoples lives who are blessed to cross their paths.

This National Geographic contest is a win win.

We get to show some gratitude to great people, and National Geographic is donating to support Veterans, and their families

Also from the National Geographic site:

For every use of #LongRoadHome across Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram starting October 10, National Geographic will donate $1 to Musicians on Call, which brings live and recorded music to the bedside of veterans in healthcare facilities, for a total up to $75,00 to support its Bedside Performance Programs.
