Just a Thought: Am I Right Where I Need To Be Right Now?
Everyone knows that getting mornings to go smoothly is very difficult. Getting kids to school or on the bus on time with both mittens and homework, traffic snarls on the commute, a good breakfast, and choosing something to wear can slow us down.
But what if maybe, just maybe, these “life’s little mishaps” are just meant to be?
I ran across a blogpost that was posted on social media that really made my co-host and I stop to think this morning.
We keep hearing that everything happens for a reason. Ask any of these people that survived the 9/11 terror attacks in New York. They all have something in common: They were all suppose to be in the World Trade Centers on that morning.
The head of a company survived 9/11 because his son started kindergarten that morning.
Another fellow was alive because it was his turn to bring donuts.
One woman was late because her alarm clock didn’t go off in time.
One was late because of being stuck on the NJ Turnpike because of an auto accident.
One of them missed his bus to work in the towers.
One spilled food on her clothes and had to take time to change.
One’s car wouldn’t start.
While yet another one couldn’t get a taxi.
And one man put on a new pair of shoes that morning, but before ho got to work, he developed a blister on his foot. He stopped at a drugstore to buy a Band-Aid.
That is why he is alive today.
Now when I am stuck in traffic, miss an elevator, turn back to answer a ringing telephone…
all the little things that annoy me,
I think to myself,
Maybe, this is exactly where I’m meant to be at this very moment.”
Just a thought for the busy and hectic moments in our lives.
