According to reports, a judge has sentenced Joseph Patterosn, who was found guilty in the death of a two-year-old to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

A jury convicted Joseph Patterson of second degree murder in September of this year.

An autopsy found that Tyrese Ruffin, who was Adrian Peterson's son, sustained four blows to the head, causing his brain to bleed and eventually his death.

The medical doctors determined that the injuries sustained could not have been accidental and that in fact Ruffin died from his injuries in October 2013.  Later, the jury decided it was at the hands of Patterson.

Patterson was already serving a concurrent 25-year sentence for aggravated battery. He plans to appeal the decision.
