Sunday's NASCAR race was at Richmond International Raceway. It was the Toyota Owners 400 at the legendary track in Virginia with a lot of history dating back to the origins of auto racing.

It was perhaps the race of the year thus far, with Joey Logano winning from a rear start. He spent the afternoon passing everyone on the track for his first Cup victory of 2017.

Logano was forced to start at the back of the field by virtue of a penalty. It had nothing to do with anything he did as a driver, but because of a transmission change made to the car after qualifying.

Brad Keselowski was on a wild charge to get past Logano, but settled for second place. At the checkered flag it was Logano by three car lengths.

Logano took the lead in the race with 16 laps to go. This was after starting behind six cars that stayed out on old tires after a caution.

After the green, Logano made short work out of all of them. The final pass was that of point leader Kyle Larson.

Denny Hamlin finished in third, Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. fourth and Kevin Harvick fifth. See where your driver came in.

In his first race since announcing his retirement, Dale Earnhardt, Jr. got into some big contact with teammate Jimmy Johnson in the race. Junior ended up at 30th after damage to his car.

Next up, the big track. NASCAR hits Talladega Superspeedway on Sunday.
