Five people who were on board a corporate jet making an international flight from Canada to Salt Lake City were forced to make an emergency landing in Sioux Falls on Saturday afternoon, April 30, 2016.

The jet they were flying on lost cabin pressure while en route to Salt Lake City. Once the problem occurred, the passengers decided to play it safe by landing in Sioux Falls shortly after 4 p.m.

The loss of cabin pressure can cause serious problems, especially in larger aircraft due to a reduction of oxygen in the cabin.

No one on board suffered any injuries as a result of the incident.

The passengers stay in Sioux Falls was a short one. The plane was repaired and resumed its journey shortly before 8 p.m. on Saturday.
