A man accused of murder is in trouble for making alcohol while behind bars.

Jared Stone was in court Monday September 19, 2016, with the official charge of having unauthorized materials in jail. The offence is a class six felony that carries a maximum of two years in jail or a $4,000 fine or both.

Stone was sought by police last April after the shooting death of Baptiste White Eyes in the parking lot of the Lucky Lady Casino in downtown Sioux Falls.  A search ensued for Stone through five states over the course of several days.  He was apprehended after a high speed chase in Wyoming.

A jury trial is expected to take place for Stone in late November.
