Jackpot! Person Wins 25K off Dakota Cash Lottery Ticket Sold in Canton

One person in the Sioux Empire is starting off the unofficial first weekend of summer with a great big smile and a great big wad of cash!

A winning lottery ticket for the Dakota Cash jackpot worth $25,146 was sold in Canton this week.

South Dakota lottery officials say the ticket sold matched all five winning numbers: (4,19, 21, 27 and 33) in the drawing to win the top prize for the game played on Wednesday, May 25, 2016.

If you're able to find out the name of the winner, you might want to rub that person for luck, the odds at winning were 1 in about 325,000.

The jackpot will start over again at $20,000 on Saturday.
