It’s Tick Time in South Dakota!

Monday morning I was getting ready for work. You know, doing the shower thing. I was cruising right along, just about ready to jump in the shower when I noticed a brown spot on my right cheek and no, I'm not talking about my face. I'm talking about my butt. I didn't give it a second thought. A piece of lint? Who knows. Then I took a closer look and low and behold I had a tick climbing on me!

I'm not much for bugs. I'm not much for snakes, but ticks do kind of creep me out. I remember Dad saying, grab the needle nose pliers and he held the dog. Here. Grab that one.

They creep me out. More and more we have found that they carry disease as well so we keep a little keener eye open for the little creepy crawlers. After I sent the one I pulled off my rump down the drain I took a moment for a little closer inventory check. I mean, I looked everywhere. I would suggest you do the same, especially if you've been doing a little work outside mowing or gardening around the house.
