Two separate instances this past weekend involved athletes/performers getting beamed by objects that were thrown in their direction.

Outside of baseball, and maybe the hat toss for a hat trick in hockey when the ice is cleared, I don't know if there is any other instance where it is deemed acceptable to throw anything towards the field or stage.

This past weekend at a WWE event in Victoria, British Colombia, a fan in the front row decided to throw a briefcase at Roman Reigns during the main event of the show. Reigns was hit hard in the back of the head and needed a moment to regain himself before continuing the match with Bray Wyatt.

You can tell at one point Wyatt went over to check on Reigns and backed off to give him another moment.

There is no purpose or reason for this. In the same sense, I've seen it countless times where people have thrown beer bottles at concerts. There was even a concert in Sioux Falls where a performer walked off the stage during a show because of a beer being thrown at him.

Nothing should get a person that upset to throw something directly at athletes or performers. If someone gets that upset they should just leave the stadium or venue instead.
