Invisible Girlfriend App
For those that are single and dreading the holidays because of not having a significant other, leave it to technology to take care of things for you.
If you are tired of being nagged by family and friends, let the new ‘Invisible Girlfriend’ app help take the stress of being single during the holidays off of you. With the promise to provide “believable virtual and real world proof” that you have a significant other, the ‘Invisible Girlfriend‘ app will provide phone calls, voicemails, random gifts and even a Facebook relationship.
The girlfriend may not be real, but guys interested in this app still have to decide how much time they want to spend with “her”. Packages range from the $9.99 “Just Talking Package” to the $49.99 “Almost Engaged Package”.
Creator Matt Homann says it will be easy to use. First, the user will be asked to choose a plan that will allow you to decide how much time you want to spend with the “new girlfriend”. This first step includes a mix of virtual and real-world proof that you have a “girlfriend”. Secondly, the user picks his “girlfriend”. After selecting her from a library of candidates, the user can customize her personality and be a little more specific on the interaction. And finally, the third step of the app simply allows the user to live his life.
We’re not trying to build a girlfriend they can believe in–that’s a whole other level of technology. We are simply giving them a better story to tell, even though the story isn’t true.
Homann also says that they are experimenting with phone calls that will be live actors or “realistic computer-generated voicemails”.
Those looking for a “girlfriend” will have to wait, however. The service probably won’t be available until Christmas, with the promise of the company also planning to expand to include an “Invisible Boyfriend”.
