If you’ve been diagnosed with breast cancer, Lois Goff of Sioux Falls has a message worth hearing!

Lois is a breast cancer survivor!

“I found out in May of 2008. I was the fifth one in my family to be diagnosed with breast cancer. From the very beginning, I just knew what I needed to do. That was to have a double mastectomy. I had lots of options because they caught my cancer very early. I just had a voice in my head that I interpreted to be the Lord talking to me. It was very clear to me from the beginning what I needed to do.”

So, how did Lois find the strength to deal with the cancer?

"I did have faith and I still do! When you’re faced with something like cancer, it brings you very close to the Lord. Hopefully when He heals you and you are all better - you stay close to the Lord. That’s been my goal.”

In spite of the cancer, Lois focuses on living life with a positive mental attitude.

“You know we have to find the good in everything that happens to us and everything that happens around us. Sometimes I joke about it and say ‘you have to either laugh or cry.’ I choose to laugh.”

Lois also chooses to live with an attitude of gratitude.

“I am thankful everyday for all of the blessings in my life. Trust me when I say this: we have had many struggles. My cancer being one of them. My family and I come out on the other side of it with a smile on our faces.”

The bottom line, according to Lois Goff is this: with faith, nothing is impossible! Without faith, noting is possible!
