NOAA, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, recently shared some amazing video footage of Hurricane Matthew. Captain Tim Gallagher and his co-pilot battle wind speeds of 120 mph. The entire team includes two pilots, flight engineers, a navigator and a flight director. Also on board is a data system operator and crew members who deploy sensors into the storm.

For Hurricane Matthew alone, the National Hurricane Center said the NOAA and Air Force Reserve planes have flown 90 trips into the hurricane's eye to gather information on the strength of the storm with more flights to continue over the coming days as the storm tracks along the Southeast U.S. coast.
