All the Iowa Hawkeyes have done lately is win... Win, win and win some more.

However, on Thursday the #3 Iowa Hawkeyes lost to the #8 Maryland Terrapins 74-68 ending Iowa's nine game winning streak.

At #3, the Hawkeyes are currently ranked the highest they've been since 1987 and with the loss to Maryland, they will fall, but how will they now respond?

To this point, there hasn't been as much adversity as some Hawkeye teams have faced in the past so you immediately wonder how this loss will affect this team.

Iowa was exposed a little bit on Thursday as Jarrod Uthoff was limited to a season low 9 points and the other Hawkeyes had a hard time picking up the slack.

Moving forward, more offense from the others is going to be required and necessary if this team wants to be cutting down nets in the Big 10 Tournament or even in the NCAA Tournament.

It's always hard to play on the to road and you can attribute some of the loss last night to that but I think that Iowa head coach Fran McCaffery would admit this isn't the end of the world and that he can use this moment and this game as a teaching moment that could help this team even more come March.

Up next for Iowa is a trip back home to host Northwestern on Sunday.
