How Many More Years Will Mike Miller Play in the NBA?

As the Heat and Spurs get ready for Game 3 of the NBA Finals, Tuesday night at 7:00pm, on ESPN 99.1, there are plenty of unanswered questions about the outcome of this series.

Another question that will be answered after the series is the status of Mitchell native Mike Miller, who has re-discovered his shooting touch in the finals, scoring nine points on three 3-pointers in Game 2, Sunday.

Miller has two years remaining on his contract in Miami, but has been hampered by a series of injuries during his 12-year NBA career.

As he looks ahead now, Miller doesn't see retirement in his near future.  He told Shams Charania/Real GM:

I feel I have four, five seasons left in me.

That might have something to do with the fact I haven’t played.

Sometimes, there’s light at the end of the tunnel, even when you’re frustrated.

I feel great, so hopefully it stays that way.

Miller is 33, and averaged 5 points on 42 percent three-point shooting this season.  He averaged just 15 minutes a game in 2012-13, less than half of the minutes he averaged in Washington just three seasons ago, but his 59 games played this season are the most for Miller in five years.
