Some say they are hauntingly beautiful, others say they are just plain scary. Either way, those seeking a spooky thrill can get tickets to tour the Woodlawn Cemetery in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, by the light of lanterns.

Starting in October, the Siouxland Heritage Museum will give thrill seekers the chance to experience the Woodlawn Cemetery in a complete different light. Hear voices from the past and watch as the stories come to life while a guide leads you through the Woodlawn Cemetery by lantern light. Local actors will become some of the most famous (and infamous) of Sioux Falls’ characters, sharing their stories and history.

The 'Voices from the Past' tour will be Thursday, October 15 through Saturday, October 17, 2015. There are several tours each night, beginning at 6:30PM and departing every 20 minutes. The tours last about an hour with a maximum of 20 visitors per tour.

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the Old Courthouse Museum in advance.

Be advised that because of some of the subject matter and limited lighting, this lantern tour of the Woodlawn Cemetery is recommended for those over 12-years of age.
