Just over a year and a half ago the Empire Mall underwent a major facelift. The outisde and inside took on some major renovations. I was in the Mall the other day and noticed several changes.  Some new stores are opening, some are remodeling and some have closed.

Combined Pool & Spa opened a location in the Empire Mall last month and will serve shoppers throughout the summer.  It's located in the former Deb clothing store.

Bath and Body Works is expanding and remodeling. The new store, in the same location across form the Food Court, will be open by late summer. Bath and Body Works temporarily moved down a few doors and is across the hall from Hot Topic.

The women's retailer Torrid will return to the Empire Mall this fall. The new store will be adjacent to Old Navy in the JC Penney wing of the mall. It will be located in the current location of Leather Legend, which will relocate to the Sears wing. Construction will begin in July.

You'll notice a few restaurants missing in the Harvest Cafe Court. Jimmy's Seaside Fries closed at the end of May and Burger King closed in March. We'll let you know as soon as new eateries are announced. Tell us on our Facebook page what restaurants you'd like to see in the mall food court.
