Green Bay Packers keep winning at Lambeau

The Green Bay Packers improved to 7-0 at Lambeau Field with a 43-37 win over the Atlanta Falcons, Monday night. 

Overall, the Packers won their 10th game and are 10-3, tied with Arizona for the best record in the NFC.

After the first quarter, the score was tied at 7 apiece. By halftime, Green Bay led 31-7, much in part to a touchdown run by Eddie Lacy and two touchdown passes from Aaron Rodgers to Lacy and Jordy Nelson. Morgan Burnett's interception set up Nelson's touchdown for the Packers.

However, it was a tale of two halves in this Monday Night Football contest. At the end of the third quarter, Atlanta trailed Green Bay, 34-17. Then it started to get interesting. Matt Ryan tossed a 22-yard touchdown pass to Julio Jones. But Rodgers had an answer, throwing a beautiful 60-yard touchdown to Nelson. Back came Atlanta. Ryan threw to Roddy White for a score and the Falcons completed the two-point conversion as well. Atlanta was now down 40-30 with six minutes to play. Mason Crosby kicked a field goal, and it left four and a half minutes for the Falcons to erase a 13-point deficit. With 2:11 to go in the game, Ryan completed a touchdown to Harry Douglas. However, that would be all Falcons would get and the Packers came out on top with a victory.

Rodgers was 24 of 36 for 327 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions. He extended his streak of no throwing an interception at home. Green Bay's next home game is in Week 17 against Detroit.

On the ground, Lacy and James Starks for 153 yards and two touchdowns between them.

Ryan was 24 of 39 for 375 yards, four touchdowns and one interception. The Packers defense had no answers for Jones in the second half, and gave up 11 receptions for 259 yards to the former Alabama wideout.

The Packers avoided a let down and came out with a win to keep pace in the NFC with Arizona. Getting to 10 wins was big for Green Bay.

Monday night's victory was also a historic win for the Packers.

• Rodgers has the most pass yards (27,520) and passing touchdowns (222) through 100 starts. (Even more remarkable, considering that Rodgers sat three years behind Brett Favre).
• The Packers win was Mike McCarthy's 98th win, tying him with Vince Lombardi for second in Packers franchise history.
• With a win last night, Rodgers and Favre are now both 68-32 in their first 100 starts.
• Rodgers tied an NFL single-season record with his third, eight three-touchdown, and no interception game of the year.

Next week, Green Bay travels to Buffalo, Sunday.
