Hunting in South Dakota
For many people around the area, fall is the best time of the year. We’ve worked hard and in many cases played hard over the spring and summer months. Hopefully things slow down enough to get together with family and friends for a little fun.
Pheasant hunting or deer hunting is an activity that many people around the mid west like to take in. It’s a chance to get away from the computer screen or whatever sort every day activity many of us are accustomed to. In short, it’s a break.
I read a quote from an unknown author and it really does fit the reason why most people hunt:
” The sportsman lives his life vicariously. For he secretly yearns to have lived before, in a simpler time. A time when his love for the land, water, fish and wildlife would be more than just part of his life. It would be his state of mind.”
Joan Hyland of Tea sent us this photo documenting a tremendous day pheasant hunting in South Dakota. Judging by the number of birds and size of the smiles it must have been a heck of a day.
Manley Tire and Oil in Manley Minnesota knows hunting is a big part of your world That’s why they are giving you a chance to win Tires for Your Ride. You could win tires (value up to $600) just by showing us your trophy. You could use the new tires for mom’s mini-van or dad’s pick-up. Maybe it’s a picture from a deer hunt or a pheasant hunt like Joan sent in. That’s all you need to do. We will have a limited number of entries so make sure you get yours in soon.
Oh, but don’t be in such a rush that you don’t take a moment to really “shut down” and “turn off” a little bit while you are out in “God’s Country”!
