I wrote a short story about the new Paslay song. It's a song that he co-wrote with Jennifer Wayne. Wayne is a great story in herself. She's a former tennis pro from California. Oh, and her grandfather was one of my childhood heros. Actor John Wayne.

She don't love you is a ballad. But the lyric is powerful and honest. Anyone who has lived, loved and lost will relate to the song. Swindell wrote wrote this song with Josh Martin and Adam Sanders shortly after a breakup that didn't end well. The minute the girl heard it, she knew. "I denied it, I think, when she asked me," he told Taste of Country. "But I'm glad she knows. That's why I wrote it. I'm glad she knows it's about her, that means I wrote it exactly how I wanted to."

Whoa! What's Gloriana up to? I'll tell you, they have a new song out that 'could' turn ears and heads. It's called Trouble. According to Nashville Gab:

Rarely do country songs ever need to be censored. For the most part, we're a family friendly, god-fearing bunch of folks that never forget our please and thank yous, or sirs and ma'ams. But every so often, someone does something that really pisses us off and it brings out the sailor in us. All of a sudden, it's 'f this and f that,' and 'you're a shit head!'

Case in point, a new track from Gloriana's forthcoming album titled 'Trouble.' It's a song that Rachel Reinert not only co-wrote, but takes lead vocal on as well.

There you have it. Three new songs that have our attention this week here at Kickin' Country. All three are carefully crafted and sung perfectly. We're anxious to see how they do.
