Country music legend Glen Campbell has released a version of "Everybody’s Talkin'" from his forthcoming studio album Adiós. Aptly titled the Spanish word for goodbye, Adiós is also Campbell's final studio album.

Campbell's version is a cover of the 1966 classic written and recorded by Fred Neil. However, most remember the 1969 Harry Nilsson cover, which earned Nilsson a Grammy and became the theme song for Academy Award-winning film Midnight Cowboy.

Campbell decided to record his cover of "Everybody’s Talkin'" in 2012 after he completed his farewell tour, just one year after his Alzheimer's diagnosis. His struggles and triumphs on that final tour were filmed in the 2014 Academy Award-nominated documentary I'll Be Me, which closely dives into the life of Campbell as a performer and Alzheimer's sufferer.

However, Campbell maintained his signature sound throughout that tour and continues to easily pick and grin with polished delivery on "Everybody's Talkin'" as he sings the first verse: "Everybody's talking at me / I don't hear a word they're saying / Only the echoes of my mind / People stopping, staring / I can't see their faces / Only the shadows of their eyes."

His impressive signature picking continues throughout the first verse and carries on nonstop for the rest of the near three-minute song. Lyrically, the verses are rather melancholy, but Campbell's uplifting chorus melody and message contrasts the dark verses.

"I'm going where the sun keeps shining / Through the pouring rain / Going where the weather suits my clothes / Banking off of the northeast winds / Sailing on a summer breeze / And skipping over the ocean like a stone," sings Campbell.

Adiós will feature 11 tracks in addition to "Everybody's Talkin'" and include guest performances by Willie Nelson, Vince Gill and Campbell’s own children.
