My friend Brian from Arlington, TX shared this very touching story with me.  His friend Danielle wants lots of birthday cards sent to her niece Hannah.

Hannah turns Sweet 16 on April 30th, 2016.   Hannah lost her mother Dawn in 2010 to congestive heart failure.  After her Dad was diagnosed with Leukemia he passed away a few months later, leaving Hannah with the devastating loss of both parents just before that Christmas.

With the help of her now 74 year old Grandmother and school counselors Hannah has managed to keep a positive outlook.

Hannah's aunt Danielle Casas and her husband were going to move Hannah to live with them in Texas to raise her there, but the counselors agreed that she needed the one constant that was in her life at the time, her Grandmother.

As Hannah's aunt Danielle says: "Hannah has had to grow up fast. She is unassuming, doesn’t come from much…and asks for nothing."

With her Grandma now being ill, Hannah began planning her own sweet 16.  She was going to make herself a birthday cake, organize a few snacks, and have some family over for her birthday.

Her aunt told her that was not going to happen; that she was not going to work for her own birthday and took over the planning.

This is where you can help out.  Danielle want's to bring some extra special birthday cheer into Hannah's sweet 16th.

Part of Hannah's birthday surprise is the desire of her aunt to have birthday cards sent to her from every state in the nation and other countries around the world.

Please send a card to Hannah and ask your friends and relatives from other locations to do the same?  Send cards to:
