The South Dakota Highway Patrol wanted everyone to know about a pretty big road construction project this summer. Here it is.

The South Dakota Department of Transportation is advising motorists a 23 and a half-mile construction project on Highway 19 between Humboldt and the Intersection of Highway 34 will significantly impact traffic this summer.

There's no question, the road needs attention. It's one of those steeped ditch narrow roads that a lot of people use as a short cut to Madison, SD. Full details of the construction can be found here.

Now, this is a pretty big deal. That's a quick cut across for a lot of people. What I'm most concerned with is how people are going to get to The Buffalo Trading Post! It's about half way up that road and it's a spot that many folks like to check out!

If you have ever stopped in to The Buffalo Trading Post, you know what kind of an awesome 'rural South Dakota place it is!

Do me a favor, make plans to find the cut across and check them out 2 or 3 times this summer. I bet they would appreciate your business.
