The Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) officially kicks off today and fans of video games are eagerly awaiting the announcements for the upcoming year.

E3 is one of the biggest trade shows of the entire year, and it gives companies the opportunity to market upcoming games, accessories, and sometimes even new systems to the world. The trade show is not open to the public, however fans are able to watch live coverage of the press conferences online.

Microsoft will start E3 this morning at 11:30CT, and most seem to be awaiting details on Halo 5: Guardians. Other games that Microsoft may talk about include Forza 2, and Killer Instinct: Season Two.

Electronic Arts will hold their press conference after Microsoft at 2:00CT. From all indication, EA will show developments of next generation titles such as Madden 15, FIFA 15, and a new Battlefield game.

Ubisoft will also hold a press conference today at 5:00CT. Potential showings include a new Assassians Creed game and potentially Far Cry 4.

Sony will end today's big day of press conferences at 8:00CT. It will be interesting to see what new developments Sony has planned for the PS4, and for me personally I'm hoping for some information regarding Uncharted 4.

Having been a huge video game fan my entire life, I always look forward to and enjoy seeing coverage of E3. If you would like to follow along for coverage of E3, IGN will have a live stream of each press conference.
