Police responded to a call of loud music from a car in the 700 block of West 18th Street early Saturday (December 16) morning.

When police arrived on scene, the suspect refused to follow instructions, then ran from the vehicle. After a short chase, officers arrested the suspect after a short struggle. A quick search of the suspect revealed both meth and marijuana.

While searching the suspect's vehicle, a gun magazine was found.

Police then retraced the area where the struggle had occurred with the driver, and found a .40 caliber handgun, which had been stolen from Lincoln County.

Southone Billy Khamvongsa, age 27, from Corcoran Minnesota was arrested and charged with various drug and firearm possession violations, including additional charges for being a prior felon with drugs and a stolen gun.
