The crew working a drive thru window at a Palm Beach County Wendy's was in for quite a shock recently, when the man who ordered his Redhead Roasters Coffee, decided to pay with something that was green, had teeth, and wanted to eat them.

According to Florida wildlife officials, 24-year-old Joshua James threw a 3.5-foot alligator through the fast-food restaurant's drive-thru window last October.

On Tuesday, James was charged with assault with a deadly weapon. His bail was set at $6,000.

Officials say that after an employee handed James his order, he threw the alligator through the window and drove off. No one was hurt during the incident.

James was also charged with illegally possessing an alligator and petty theft as a result of his late night drive-thru gator toss.

Linda James, the man's mother said her son cooperated with officials and his actions were part of what she called a "stupid prank."

If you're wondering, Gummy the gator was released back into the wild and given a free Frosty card for his troubles.
