First Phase of 12th Street Bridge Construction Completed

The first phase of the 12th Street bridge reconstruction project is complete and traffic is switched to the new half of the bridge.

Two lanes of traffic will be maintained in the peak direction and one lane will be maintained in the non-peak direction.

City engineer Chad Huwe says the project is on schedule because of the crew’s dedication to working every day.

The center portion of the roadway will be reconstructed in September.

The project is $7.4 million and is scheduled to be complete by the end of November.
