Americana artist EmiSunshine is premiering the lyric video for her poignant new track “90 Miles” exclusively for readers of The Boot. Press play above to watch the clip.

Already a prolific artist at just 13 years old, EmiSunshine proves that she's wise beyond her years on “90 Miles." The song provides a glimpse into the minds of children with autism.

“I watched a playmate with autism get picked on and ignored by my peers. It was so sad,” EmiSunshine tells The Boot. “Knowing that there is at least one ASD kid in every other classroom, and that ignorance breeds fear and bullying, I feel it is incredibly important for everyone to have a perception into the mind of those affected, and there is really no one out there my age talking about this.”

“90 Miles” appears on EmiSunshine’s latest studio album, Ragged Dreams, released back in August. The record is EmiSunshine’s fourth studio recording -- incredibly impressive considering, again, that she only celebrated her 13th birthday in June. The singer-songwriter has made appearances at the Ryman Auditorium, Austin City Limits, the Stagecoach Music Festival and the Grand Ole Opry; EmiSunshine counts Emmylou Harris, Loretta Lynn and Tim McGraw among her fans. In 2014, she was named a Rising Legend by the Traditional Country Music Association.
