Two women who were piloting an airplane made a safe landing in a pasture near De Smet, South Dakota after their plane lost power.

De Smet ambulance, fire rescue, and the Kingsbury County sheriff arrived on the scene but emergency services were not needed.

The two women were flying in the 2,200 mile Air Race Classic which originates in Pasco, Washington and ends in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

The airplane trouble occurred on a route from Spearfish to Brookings, according to the flight plans.

They were not injured and the plane only sustained minimal damage.
