In what sounds like the drunk driving scene from the movie "The 40-Year-Old-Virgin," an inebriated Sioux Falls driver went on a wild ride early Wednesday morning (June 22, 2016).

According to authorities the incident began shortly before 1:00 AM.

The driver's pickup was heading north on South Carolyn Avenue, where it ran a red light at West 26th Street and eventually hit an unoccupied vehicle near 26th Street and Tecumseh Avenue.

The vehicle then continued north on Ellis Road, where it left the road just south of 12th Street and drove through a business lot, proceeded to hit three phone and cable utility boxes, along with two satellite dishes just behind an apartment building on South Wheatland Avenue.

But it doesn't end there.

Police then say the vehicle drove through several lawns and finally ended up in a hay field before plowing through a fence and hitting a tree.

Sioux Falls Police arrested 34-year-old Matthew Holm, and charged him with a DUI and failing to report accidents.

Luckily, no one was injured.
