VERMILLION - A water pipe break forced officials at the University of South Dakota to arrange for temporary housing for more than 500 students.

KELO-TV reports that a large part of the Coyote Village dorm flooded Monday night. Campus vice president Jeff Baylor says students were taken to the Student Center, and officials worked to arrange for hotel rooms.

The cause of the pipe break was not immediately determined.
