Dolly Parton and her foundation are doing their part to help victims of the recent fires in the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee.

Earlier this week more than 14,000 people were evacuated from their homes, and many are still unsure if their homes survived the flames. At least seven people were killed by the wildfires and others are still unaccounted for.

The fire got quite close to Parton's Dollywood theme park, but no significant damage occurred at the site.

Following the devastating fire, Parton and her Dollywood Foundation are donating $1,000 each month to the families who lost their homes in the fires. They will be participating for six months.
