Dierks Bentley has released the music video for his newest single, "Somewhere on a Beach," and while it's not "Drunk on a Plane" Part 2 (though you'll recognize its main character from that video), it's still leave you smiling.

Bentley takes a backseat in the clip to a lost- and jetlagged-looking tourist in Mexico. The singer and his band watch from the sidelines as the guy -- who is clearly in need of a little unwinding -- ends up with a gorgeous woman. Bentley and company cheer the new couple on as they fall in love; they even wind up front row at one of the singer's concerts. While viewers will be waiting for the "gotcha" moment, instead, Bentley gives them a sweet ending.

The "Somewhere on a Beach" video was directed by Wes Edwards and shot in Puerto Morelos, Mexico.

“It took three days to shoot this video ... we got so much great stuff all over this tiny little Mexican village outside of Cancun. It kills me to think about all the funny moments that we couldn’t fit into this edit,” Bentley explains in a press release. “Our lead character Josh is an old friend that some fans may recognize. He had us doubled over laughing on the set the whole time ... really funny dude and incredible actor. I hope everyone digs our take on this story, which may be a little unexpected.”

Fans curious about some of that footage that wound up on the cutting room floor can see behind-the-scenes moments on Break.

“Somewhere on a Beach” is the first single from Bentley’s upcoming eighth studio album, Black. And official release date for the album has not yet been announced; however, Bentley will kick off his 2016 Somewhere on a Beach Tour in May.

Bentley, who will co-host the 2016 ACM Awards in April, is the subject of a new Country Music Hall of Fame exhibit opening in early March.
