The History Club of Sioux Falls is one of the oldest groups in the city's history, establishing itself way back in 1879.

Since its early days, the organization has been involved with, and supported, hundreds of community service projects throughout the city of Sioux Falls.

The group is credited with having played a part in creating the first public library, the Orpheum Theater, the Japanese Gardens, and the Sioux River Greenway.

Today, The History Club has evolved into a group that helps in restoring and preserving the city's historic buildings, and serves as a resource for the community.

The group is also responsible for developing and sponsoring community and volunteer programs through a variety of charitable and social activities throughout the year.

The group provides annual scholarships for female University of Sioux Falls students, is active with the Bowden Youth Center, and hosts the annual Dickens Holiday Event.
