PIERRE, S.D. (AP) - The South Dakota Department of Agriculture is asking farmers and ranchers who struggled with this year's extreme drought conditions to send their ideas on drought disaster relief.

South Dakota Secretary of Agriculture Walt Bones says the Department of Agriculture wants to know how best to help producers through drought this year. He says hearing their ideas firsthand is the best way.

Producers are asked to send in their comments and suggestions by Nov. 16. They can email them to agmail@state.sd.us , call 605-773-5425, or write the South Dakota Department of Agriculture, 523 E Capitol Ave., Pierre, SD 57501.
