AKRON, Iowa (KTIV) - An unexpected visitor crashes into a northwest Iowa classroom late Tuesday morning.Akron-Westfield principal Cathy Bobier says a deer broke through a window and went into a kindergarten classroom. The students were at lunch at the time.Bobier says an assistant was walking by when it happened, and quickly closed the door so the deer could not get into the rest of the building.

Bobier says the deer was in the classroom for just a few minutes, before going back out the window.

She says some high school students saw it running down the street moments after.

Cleaning and window companies were at the school Tuesday afternoon to help clean up the mess.

Bobier says the students should be back in their classroom on Wednesday.
