Deadly Wreck in Rural Minnehaha County

A crash north and west of Colton claimed one life and injured four others on Friday afternoon.

The Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office says the accident took place at 5:31 PM near the intersection of 245th Street and 459th Avenue. There were five people in the SUV when it rolled.

Three people were ejected and one was pronounced dead at the scene. The survivors were taken to a hospital and were listed in stable condition.

All five people in the SUV were categorized as adults. Further information would be released at a later time pending notification of relatives.
