Deadly Sioux Falls Motorcycle Crash

Sioux Falls Police say one man was killed and another was injured early Tuesdsay morning in a motorcycle crash at West 26th Street and South Kiwanis Avenue.

Lieutenant Jerome Miller says police and rescue crews who were called at 2:49am found one man with non-life-threatening injuries, while the other was pronounced dead at the scene.

Miller says the westbound motorcycle failed to stop or turn at Kiwanis and crashed into a chain-link fence on the west side of the street. He says speed appears to have been a factor in the crash and neither man was wearing a helmet.

Both 26th Street and Kiwanis Avenue were closed for about three-and-a-half hours while police investigators worked at the scene.

The names of the men have not yet been released.
