ELMHURST, IL -- South Dakota catcher Allie Daly was named The Summit League’s Softball Player of the Week in a release by the league on Monday. It was her first career Player of the Week honor.

Daly led the Coyotes to a 4-1 record on the week, including a three-game sweep of South Dakota State on Friday and Saturday. In the SDSU series Daly went 6 for 11 with five runs scored and 11 RBIs, including two home runs and seven RBIs in the second game of the series and a 3 for 3 performance with one double and three RBIs in the series finale. She also posted a .538 on-base percentage and a 1.182 slugging percentage against the Jackrabbits. For the week Daly went 7 for 18 (.388) at the plate.

Daly and the ‘Yotes will resume conference play with a three-game series against Fort Wayne beginning with a doubleheader at 1 p.m. on Friday and continuing Saturday at noon.
