I've thought for a long time that the great Crystal Gayle should be in the Country Music Hall of Fame. Her career has been incredible and ranks among the best in country music history. Maybe that will (and should) happen soon.

But in the meantime, Crystal has been honored by her hometown.

(AP) - Crystal Gayle now has a theater named after her.

The Wabash County Historical Museum in Wabash, Indiana, unveiled the Crystal Gayle Theater and an exhibit about her over the weekend. Gayle's family is from Kentucky but they moved to Wabash in search of work when the coal mines closed.

Gayle says Wabash has always welcomed her with open arms and she's proud to be part of the museum.
