Craig Sager II joined Jeff Thurn on Wednesday's edition of Overtime.

Sager II (@CraigSagerJr) was an basketball analyst for TNT during the playoffs for his father, Craig Sager, who is currently battling leukemia. Sager is also an Atlanta Falcons beat writer and Sporting News contributor.

Sager II talks about the health of his dad, Sager, Sr:

"He's doing pretty well right now. It's moving along quickly, so I think that's the best part for him. He's been at it going on two months, and it's going by so far. He had a nice little halftime last week, where he got the whole week off and went down to Orlando with the young kids in the family and enjoyed some good family time. Came back and started chemo this week, and then have another week off. One more week, and then it's transplant time. End is sight and it's a long recovery, but going well so far."

Sager II discusses how he was able to get San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich to 'open,' up:

"Uh, I think he took it easy on me, but I was so nervous and it was the first time I had ever done anything like that. I was nervous because I had all planned out before where I was going to do a sit down interview with him (Popovich), and they gave me two questions to ask. Everything was going to be cool, and if I messed up, I was going to do it again and all of sudden, they tell me, hey, Pop wants to say something and tells me he wants to do it during the game live in the third quarter. I'm like how I am supposed to do this, and then they are like ask him about your dad and I'm like I'm not going to talk about all the interactions that have never been like that. Usually him just staring at my dad. They don't talk about it. So, yeah, it worked out well and I was out there trying to talk and not freeze up. Ended up being a pretty cool video."

Sager II talks about how the Spurs can stop LeBron James:

"I think they are relying on LeBron more than anything ever heading into the Finals. He's leading them in points, rebounds, assists, steals, and obviously, minutes right now. He's always been the guy, but is doing everything this year. I think you try and wear him out offensively. Keep moving the ball around, make most of the possessions, and I'm trying to think how Miami is going to approach it. If they are just going to try slow down the Spurs, but I think the Spurs are playing at a great pace, too, so it's going to put a lot of pressure on LeBron and he's definitely going to play some heavy minutes."

Sager II's pick: Spurs in 6.
