The U.S. corn and soybean harvests remain closely behind averages, according to the USDA.

As of Sunday, 11% of the U.S. corn crop had been harvested, compared with a 17% five-year average.

USDA pegged the amount of the U.S. corn in the dented growth stage at 93 percent. Corn was also rated as 51 percent mature.

For soybeans, the U.S. soybean crop is 10% harvested vs. a 12% five-year average.
