Henry Josh Harrison, 46, Spiro, Oklahoma, Nailor L. Harrison Jr, 49, Carthage, Missouri and Billy Ray Jeffery, 54, Spiro, Oklahoma were ordered to pay combined restitution totaling over $167,000. The cases were investigated by the Consumer Protection Division and prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Office.
Each received various fines, placed on probation with suspended jail time and were barred from conducting business in the state for a period of time.
Attorney General Marty Jack Comments on the uptick in out of state scammers as warm weather arrives:
Each spring we see our share of transient contractors who leave behind subpar paving jobs in order to make a quick buck. The questionable contractors hurt our consumers and legitimate businesses and we intend to prosecute and hold accountable those who knowingly and willingly violate our Deceptive Trade Practices Act.
