The Compass Center has a saying, which is an indication as to why this organization is named what it is, "let us be your guide on your journey to healing". By definition a compass is an instrument which helps to determine direction, which guides you to a destination and this is their mission.

The Compass Center believes that every person has the right to live a life free of violence and they work tirelessly to end the cycle of violence and sexual assault for all people. Their play therapy program for children is offered free to children ages 3 through 12 who have experienced or witnessed domestic violence or sexual assault.

This targeted therapy allows children to express themselves, learn social skills, work through their trauma in a safe environment and helps to relieve their stress and anxiety. Right now the play therapy program is in need of toys for the children to play with and DooGooders in Sioux Falls is having a toy drive to gather them.

Tuesday, June 28, 2016 DooGooders will pick up toys from current clients or anyone who contacts them to say they'd like to contribute. Call or text them at 605-951-1176 or drop them a line at scoopers@doogooders.com. For more info click here.
