The Sanford Pentagon once again hosted another great event for the city of Sioux Falls. The University of Minnesota and Oklahoma State University men’s basketball teams faced off on Heritage Court.

Oklahoma State pulled out the 62-60-win Saturday over Minnesota. U of M had previously lost two straight to South Dakota State and University of South Dakota. Oklahoma State had also lost two straight to the University of Tulsa and Missouri State University.

The Pentagon earlier this year also had Iowa State University and the University of Colorado to open the college basketball season ESPN2, which sold out all of the 3,200 seats in the venue.

This is by no means the last of these events going forward as the Pentagon will host both South Dakota State and the University of South Dakota later this month. They will also hold the second day of Mike Miller Classic again this year too.

South Dakota State will face off against Middle Tennessee State University on December 27th and the University of South Dakota will take on Florida Gulf Coast University the following day. Tickets for both games are available at Ticketmaster.com.

The 6th Annual Mike Miller Classic will be Tuesday, December 29th and will again bring back the highly anticipate Findlay Prep from Nevada. Findlay Prep is basically a school that prepares young basketball players for going division one. They travel all over the country to compete with the best of the best.

The Pentagon will also host the NSIC Basketball Tournament for three days in February. Times for each of the games have not been determined though. The Conference Tournament Championship game will also be held at Heritage Court on March 1st.

Then finally to wrap up the college basketball season, the Pentagon will hold the Division III Elite 8 national championship games March 21st through the 24th.
