Clint Black is apparently at home resting after having a last-minute surgery, which forced him to cancel a show last weekend. A spokesperson for the singer took to his official Facebook page on Wednesday afternoon (August 15) to inform his fans of the cancellation of the concert — originally scheduled for Saturday night — at the IP Casino Resort in Biloxi, Miss.

“It is with regret that Clint Black must reschedule his previously announced August 18 show at the IP Casino Resort in Biloxi, MS due to a sports injury,” Black’s representative wrote. “The new date has been set for Saturday, November 3. Black is expected to have a speedy recovery and resume tour dates as scheduled beginning September 1.”

There was no further explanation about the extent of Black’s sports injury or his resulting surgery, but word has it he will bounce back in no time. Once he was feeling up to it, Black even personally thanked his fans for the thoughts, prayers and understanding about the last-minute cancellation of the performance.

“Hey everyone, thanks for all the good wishes and concern,” he wrote in an open letter, posted to Facebook on Saturday. “I had surgery on Thursday and I’m recovering well with Lisa and Lily looking after me. No better care in the world! I appreciate your understanding on rescheduling the Biloxi show. We’ll be there Nov. 3rd, and promise to make up for the delay.”

In his update, Black also mentioned a new song called ‘Breathing Air’ which he’s planning to release with a new album, proving that his head is still in the game, injury or not. The singer’s next live show is scheduled for Mesquite, Texas on Sept. 1.
