I love my grand kids.  I have two, Daxson and Elli Jo, 4 and 3 years old respectively.  I love it when they come over to our house for a visit. My daughter Erin got married this last summer and the years of her childhood which I thoroughly enjoyed went by all too fast.

I am grateful to be able to do it all over again with grand children. Daxson and his Dad were at my wife's salon yesterday for haircuts.  Lori reported that Daxson doesn't think Elli is going to get anything from Santa this year because she takes away toys and doesn't give them back.  He also said he doesn't think Santa is giving him any either.

When Lori told him Santa had already stopped by our house with presents for the both of them, he said, "He did?"  His eyes were as big as plates.  I know he spent the rest of the night chewing on that one. The wonder of Christmas in a child.  It's magical.

Daxson has been preparing for his theatrical debut.  He's one of the 3 wise men in his preschool Christmas play.  He's been in character for the past couple of weeks.  Actors like Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio do that for a big part.  I'm surprised he hasn't asked me to get him frankencense and myrrh to make it more realistic.

At any rate, Lori and I are attending this much anticipated production.  As much as I'm looking forward to seeing him under the lights, I'm looking forward to treats and his time afterward.  I love my grandkids!
