Time to crack open the pantry door and check your Ding Dongs, Zingers, Chocodiles and various doughnuts sold in grocery, dollar, drug and convenience stores in the U.S. and Mexico.

Hostess Brands announced a voluntary recall of various snack cakes and doughnuts on Friday, June 3, 2016. The concern is certain products may have come in contact with peanut residue not included in the ingredient list, that could sometimes cause serious reactions for people with peanut allergies.

According to the company the recall covers more than 700,000 cases that include single-serve products and multipack boxes.

Friday's announcement is the result of a recall by supplier Grain Craft of certain lots of its flour for undeclared peanut residue.

As of Friday, June 3, Hostess has received notice of two allergic reactions involving the recalled products.

Consumers that discover a recalled product in their home are asked to destroy the recalled items or return them for a full refund.
