Country legend Charlie Daniels  is expected to remain hospitalized until Friday as he recovers from pneumonia and a new addition to his heart.  a pacemaker implant to regulate his heart rate. The singer was admitted to a Nashville area hospital earlier this week (March 25). He says he hadn’t been feeling well.

“I am thankful the doctors found the problem and were able to implant a pacemaker to get my heart rate regulated,”  ”I am feeling so much better and looking forward to spending Easter with my family.”

All shows through April 11 have been canceled, as the singer will spend the next two weeks recovering at home.

Daniels gave no indication of his surgery or illness on his Twitter page, where he frequently keeps fans up to date on what he’s up to and thinking. His family is asking for thoughts and prayers for the Grand Ole Opry member as he recovers.

We're hoping Charlie makes a complete and full recovery.  We're anxious to see him at this years Sioux Empire Fair later this summer.
